Arctic Nations Sign Declaration to Prevent Unregulated Fishing in the Central Arctic Ocean Event

Die Anrainer-Staaten der Arktis einigten sich am 16. Juli 2015 auf ein Fischfangverbot in den Gewässern rund um den Nordpol. Die USA, Russland, Kanada, Dänemark für Grönland und Norwegen unterzeichneten in Oslo ein entsprechendes Abkommen, wonach die kommerzielle Fischerei in einer 2,8-Millionen-Quadratkilometer-Zone verboten ist.

The five states that surround the central Arctic Ocean – Canada, the Kingdom of Denmark in respect of Greenland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Russian Federation, and the United States of America – met in Oslo on 16 July 2015 to sign a declaration to prevent unregulated commercial fishing in high seas portion of the central Arctic Ocean.
