European Commission to provide €250 million for more than 200 new LIFE+ projects Event

Die Europäische Kommission hat der Förderung von 210 neuen Projekten zugestimmt, die im Rahmen der dritten Aufforderung zur Einreichung von Vorschlägen für das LIFE+-Programm (Europäischer Umweltfonds) für den Zeitraum 2007-2013 vorlegt wurden. Diese Projekte aus der gesamten EU betreffen Maßnahmen in den Bereichen Naturschutz, Umweltpolitik sowie Information und Kommunikation. Zusammen entsprechen sie einer Investition von insgesamt 515 Mio. EUR, davon 249,8 Mio. EUR zu Lasten der EU. In Deutschland erhalten neun Umweltschutzprojekte zusammen 30 Millionen Euro von der EU.

The European Commission has approved funding for 210 new projects under the third call for the LIFE+ programme (2007-2013), the European fund for the environment. The projects are from across the EU and cover actions in the fields of nature conservation, environmental policy, and information and communication. Overall, they represent a total investment of €515 million, of which the EU will provide €249.8 million.
