Australia: Human sign calls for Government action on climate change Event

Über fünftausend Schüler und Umweltaktivisten haben sich am 17. Mai 2009 am Strand von St. Kilda/ Melbourne zu einem riesigen Schriftzug mit der Aufforderung an die australische Regierung "Climate change - our future is in your hands" formiert. Mit der Aktion sollte darauf aufmerksam gemacht werden, dass es beim Klimawandel um die Zukunft der jungen Generation geht.

"Climate change - our future is in your hands" the words of an 11-year-old schoolgirl have been transformed into a giant human sign calling for Government action on climate change. The human sign was formed by more than 5000 school children and community groups stretching across the length of St Kilda Beach. The sign was a reminder that the next generation will bear the brunt of policies implemented now.
