Der Weltbodentag ist ein gemeinsamer Aktionstag für die Ressource Boden. An diesem Tag wird der Boden des Jahres für das folgende Jahr vorgestellt. Diese Aktion wurde vom Bundesverband Boden und der Deutschen Bodenkundlichen Gesellschaft ins Leben gerufen und wird vom Umweltbundesamt gefördert. Boden des Jahres 2007 ist der Podsol.
