Der Ausschuss des Chemikalienregisters REACH stimmte am 4. Februar 2016 dafür, den chemischen Weichmachers Bisphenol A (BPA) als reproduktionstoxisch Kategorie 1B einzustufen. Die zuständigen Mitgliedsländer setzten die Klassifizierung von BPA von vermutlich gefährlich (Kategorie 2) für die menschliche Fortpflanzung auf bestätigt gefährlich (Kategorie 1B) herauf.
On 4 February 2016, European Commission’s REACH Committee classified bisphenol A (BPA) as a presumed human reproductive toxicant (category 1B).
